Ramen Haven Picks privacy notice — Ramen Haven Sudbury

Ramen Haven Picks keeps your meal plans on your own phone. It has no account, no tracking and no internet permission. This notice explains the details.

01Who we are and what this notice covers

RH SUDBURY MA LLC, doing business as Ramen Haven, 530 Boston Post Road, Unit A, Sudbury, MA 01776, United States, provides the Ramen Haven Picks app for Android. In this notice "we" and "us" mean that company and "the app" means Ramen Haven Picks.

This notice explains what the app does with information, which is very little: it keeps what you type on your own phone. Section 16 separately explains the Ramen Haven Sudbury website that hosts this page.

02What the app does

The app shows a copy of the Ramen Haven Sudbury menu that is built into the app, lets you put together meal plans (dishes, quantities, party size and notes) and helps you contact the restaurant yourself by opening your email, phone or maps app.

Browsing the menu and editing plans work without an internet connection.
The app has no account, sign-in, ordering, payment or reservation system.

03Information you type into a plan

When you create or edit a meal plan, the app stores what you enter so you can reopen it later:

plan name, chosen dishes, quantities and per-dish notes, with the menu name and price shown when you added each dish
visit preference (dine-in, pickup or undecided) and party size
an optional requested date and time, which is only a request and not a reservation
dietary notes and other notes you choose to write
a short on-device log of when you opened your email, phone or maps app from a plan

04Your optional contact details

A plan can hold your name, phone number and email address so they can be included in a message you decide to send. These fields are optional and are separate from the restaurant's own contact details.

If you switch on "Remember my details on this device", the app also keeps them in its settings to fill in your next plan. Switch it off and save a plan to remove them from the settings.

05Where your information is stored

Everything in sections 3 and 4 is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone, in a local database and a small settings file. The app does not send this information to us or to anyone else. We cannot see your plans.

06What the app does not collect

The app is built so that it does not collect information about you:

no account or sign-in
no internet access permission: the app itself cannot connect to the internet
no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software
no location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files access
no cookies or device identifiers sent anywhere

07Permissions

The app asks for no permissions while you use it. Its manifest declares no network, location, contacts, storage, camera or microphone permission. Android libraries add one internal permission that only lets the app protect its own components; it gives no access to your data.

To open other apps, the app asks Android to show an email, phone or maps app that can handle the request. It does not read the list of apps on your phone.

08When you choose to email, call, get directions or open the menu page

Buttons such as "Email the restaurant" or "Call" open another app on your phone with the restaurant's email address, phone number, address or web page filled in. For email, the app also fills in your plan as the message text.

Nothing is sent or dialled by Ramen Haven Picks. You review and send the email, or place the call, in that other app, and that app's own privacy policy applies to what happens there. The app cannot tell whether a message was sent or received, so it only notes on your phone that the other app was opened.

09Copying plan text

"Copy text" places your plan text on the Android clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. Android controls which apps can read the clipboard; newer versions show a notice when the clipboard is read. Clear or replace the clipboard if you do not want the text to remain there.

10Backups and moving to a new phone

The app opts out of Android's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer for its data. Your plans therefore stay on the phone where you made them and are not copied to your Google account or to a new phone by Android.

11How long information is kept and how to delete it

Plans stay on your phone until you delete them. You can:

delete a single plan from the plan's menu ("Delete from this device")
clear the app's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the app, to remove all plans and settings

Deleting a plan removes it from your phone only. It does not recall an email you already sent or cancel anything you arranged with the restaurant.

12Security

Your plans are kept in the app's private storage, which Android separates from other apps. The app does not add its own encryption on top of your phone's storage protection, so keep your phone locked with a screen lock. Messages you send by email or phone travel through those services, not through this app.

13Children

The app is meant for a general audience looking at a restaurant menu and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not send information to us, we do not collect personal information from children through it. If a child has emailed us, contact us using section 18 and we will delete that message.

14Your choices and rights

You control the information the app stores: you can view, change or delete any plan on your phone at any time. Because we do not receive app data, we cannot access or export it for you.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information we hold, such as messages you send us. You can ask us to access, correct or delete it using the details in section 18. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

15Messages you send to the restaurant

If you email or call Ramen Haven, we receive what you choose to send, such as your plan, name and contact details, through that email or phone service. We use it to answer your question and plan your visit, keep it only as long as needed for that and our normal business records, and do not sell it or share it for advertising.

16This website

The Ramen Haven Sudbury website that hosts this notice is a set of static pages. It has no forms that submit information to a server, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Its contact page can open your own email app with a message you then send yourself.

Like most websites, the service that hosts the pages may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to deliver and protect the site.

17Changes to this notice

If the app or website starts handling information differently, we will update this notice and its effective date before the change takes effect, and describe significant changes in the app's update notes.
